How to Apply Press On Nails

A step-by-step guide for long-lasting wear

Press on nails are designed to be easy, comfortable, and reusable when applied and removed correctly. Follow the steps below to get the best wear while keeping your natural nails healthy.

APPLICATION

Prep Your Natural Nails

  1. Proper prep is key to long-lasting wear.
  2. Ensure nails are clean, dry, and free from oils or residue.
  3. Lightly buff the surface of each nail using the mini file.
  4. Brush away any dust.
  5. For a neater finish, gently push back cuticles using the cuticle stick.

Glue Method (Longest Wear)

Best for extended wear and a secure hold.

  1. Apply a small, even amount of glue to both your natural nail and the underside of the press-on.
  2. Spread thinly and allow the glue to sit for 15-20 seconds until tacky.
  3. Position the press-on at a slight angle, placing the cuticle edge down first.
  4. Press firmly and hold for 20 seconds to seal.

Adhesive Tab Method (Easy Removal)

Ideal for short-term wear or quick changes.

  1. Select a tab size that fully covers your natural nail.
  2. Press the tab firmly onto the nail bed using the flat end of the cuticle stick.
  3. Peel off the protective film with tweezers.
  4. Align the press-on at the cuticle edge and press down firmly to secure.

After Application

  • Avoid water, steam, or excessive moisture for at least 1 hour after application.
  • This allows the adhesive to fully set for optimal wear.

WEAR & REUSE

With correct application, you can expect comfortable, extended wear.

To preserve your sets for reuse:

  • Remove carefully following the steps below
  • Clean off any adhesive residue
  • Store nails in their original box to maintain shape and finish
